I was just reading about authenticity (it’s a power value for me in 2019. Thanks to @bob_heilig for pushing me to identify my power values) and loved the definition:
Authenticity lies in being who you are no matter what environment you’re in (@jessicahonegger) And it struck me that one of the reasons I LOVE being alone is that’s when I feel most like myself. My most authentic self.
This realization is begging for more exploration of authenticity. In all environments.

When you hear “endocrine disruption”, what do you think of? It’s a term that gets used a lot these days, but I find that most people don’t know what endocrine disruption actually means or causes. It’s a long list, but today let’s look at two areas that are getting hit hard.
Puberty and fertility.
FERTILITY - the research on fertility is grim. I’m happy to learn that more and more fertility specialists are recommending their patients clean up their skincare STAT. This is true for men too. Here are just 2 alarming facts:
1. Sperm count has decreased 60% since 1973.
2. If sperm count continues at this rate of decline, men will be UNABLE TO REPRODUCE in just one generation 😧
The primary culprit? Harmful chemicals in our everyday products, especially skincare!
PUBERTY - girls are entering puberty at significantly earlier ages, which apart from just cutting a girl’s physical childhood short, early puberty is linked to consequences that can reverberate throughout her life.
1. In urine samples, 90% of kids had high levels of endocrine disruptors present
2. Early puberty is linked to greater risk for breast cancer, teen pregnancy, HPV, heart disease, diabetes, ovarian cancer, more risk-taking behavior.
The primary culprit? Harmful chemicals in our everyday products, especially skincare!
I’m on a mission to educate about this emerging research and reality, offer safer alternatives, and fight for greater regulations in the beauty industry!

This morning’s smoothie is one of my go-tos. It’s an easy button for good nutrition and makes a filling meal replacement or snack. 🍫 This Chocolate Covered Cherry🍒 smoothie gets me over 13 grams of plant-based protein, plus antioxidant fighting cherries, calcium rich spinach (also high in zinc and magnesium), and flax seeds for a rich source of Omega 3’s 🙌 .
